Since 1997 Doug's Fishing Reel Repair is the Midwest most Trusted fishing reel facilities offering full reel cleaning, repairs, as well as fishing reel parts for all makes and models including Abu Garcia and JDM, Shimano and JDM, Daiwa and JDM, Concept, Mitchell, Okuma, Penn, Lew's, Pflueger, Shakespeare, Quick. Zebco, Quantum, as well as vintage fishing reels. We also offer full service Rod repair, guide replacement and upgrades, as well as custom made and designed rods in any length and action. We do not service Electric Motor Reels.
We are an Authorized Repair Facility for North America servicing all JDM (Japanese Domestic Model) reels.
Reel repair may have some restrictions that may apply to older models due to availability of parts. Our turnaround time during off-season usually averages between 3 to 5 weeks upon arrival of your reel(s} and can change per month.
DEEP REEL CLEANING COST:
- Spincast Reel Cleaning - $20.00
- Spinning Reel Cleaning - $25.00
- Baitcaster Reel Cleaning (Low Profile) - $30.00
- Conventional Reel Cleaning - $35.00
- Two-Speed Reel Cleaning - $35.00
- Extremely Dirty or Exposed to Salt Water - $8 additional
- **Diagnosis (fixed fee) = $10 per reel. If it is determined that your reel cannot be fixed due to obsolete parts, unavailable parts, or the total cost exceeds the reels retail value or you wish not to proceed with repair, the diagnosis fee will apply plus shipping back to your address. If you choose to donate your reel and we feel there could be salvaged parts we will waive all costs.

5 STEP DEEP CLEANING PROCESS
- Your entire reel will be taken down to the last part
- Each part cleaned and degreased with our ultra-sonic unit and then inspected. Worn parts are replaced.
- Sliding parts, gears, and springs oiled and greased as per the manufacturer
- Bearings disassembled, cleaned and blown out with a 3-step lubricant applied using Boca Bearings Clean Touch bearing lube and soak
- Your reel will then be reassembled into perfect working condition for a Stress Free Trip! It will almost look and feel new out of the box!

**We will determine which service is best for your reel when we examine your reels condition, appearance, and performance.
5 STEP GENERAL CLEANING PROCESS
- Your reel will be opened up with all gears exposed.
- Each part cleaned and degreased and then inspected. Your exterior will be cleaned free of dirt, grease, and debri. Worn parts are replaced.
- Sliding parts, gears, and springs oiled and greased as per the manufacturer.
- Bearings blown out and high speed oil applied .
- Your reel will then be reassembled into perfect working condition for a Stress Free Trip! It will almost look and feel new out of the box!

- Guide Inserts if applicable $10
**The above costs are the most common in-stock tips/guides with one-color wrap and 3 coats of epoxy (24 hours between coats). Upgraded tips, inserts, and heavy-duty applications will be extra.
